Chief Technology Officer

Osmii are looking for an ambitious and experienced Chief Technology Officer in a globally leading marketing and communication umbrella company. As the company grows, they are looking for someone to design, build and operate omni-channel digital commerce; from website development to supply chain and fulfilment.


The role:

  • Over time, this role will change and evolve. However, you will manage the existing external engineering teams of up to c.70 people; as well as multiple supply chain relationships
  • Across 18 months, you will develop the platform to implement a globally operating model that aligns with the business growth and total budget of £15-20 million
  • Experience in technology leadership to develop an collaborative working environment with diversity, inclusivity, cultural values, ethics and addressing gender pay gaps
  • Work with the Product Director as the technology partner


  • From the ground-up building a full end to eCommerce platform utilising in-house engineering, best of SaaS providers and capability acquisition.
  • A rare opportunity working with a successful start-up business with the security of a global umbrella company who are investing multi-millions over 3 years to construct a market leading platform and engineering team.
  • The chance to construct from the ground up, taking internal and external experience from 10 years of eCommerce to create the new generation of eCommerce

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Experience of at least a “Head of Engineering” in a large company or eCommerce company
  •  Good knowledge/ experience of end-to-end product life cycle management, 3rd party and internal engineering teams
  •  Extensive cross-experience of a complete end-to-end eCommerce tech stack
  • Adaptability with current labour market conditions, ambiguity and variety of operating models
  • Strong infrastructure knowledge to enhance the business capabilities of a large global company
  • Experience in hiring, growing and developing a high performance technology team
  • Good Stakeholder communication and persuasion skills
  • Desire for a c.3 year challenge to build a global digital function
  • Knowledge of broad technology trends and business understanding to support technology-relate decisions with organisational objectives and results
  • Customer orientated mind-set. Focusing on how to be relevant to customers and developing technology to suit their needs is essential
