It’s getting to that time of year; you’ve guessed it DMEXCO (digital marketing exposition & conference). The biggest event in tech, mobile and development, a central meeting point bringing together the world’s top companies for an exciting two days in Cologne, Germany. With only a couple of weeks to go, here at Osmii we like to be prepared, pin pointing things to look out for and the trends that will dominate the two days.
This will be our 7th time attending and we’re very excited to see some old and new faces.
Trust in You:
This year’s DMEXCO motto is “Trust in You” which amply expresses how data needs the trust of
society. Brands and companies can build trust in their consumers by letting
words follow actions, implementing performance promises and emphasising customer
Chief Advisor Dominik Matyka says, “Courage, appreciation and trust are very important components of a successful digital economy.”
This year’s DMEXCO unveils the Future Park and redesigned
World of Agencies. The Future Park is the new innovation hub of DMEXCO 2019 and
a meeting place for marketing decision-makers.
This year also sees the launch of the DMEXCO app. Here you can store your tickets, and create a profile to be part of the community across the year, check out the latest news and create your own personal conference agenda.
Not to be missed:
On the First day at 5:30pm the CEO Howard Lerman will transform the Congress Stage into a Broadway stage for “Who killed Dominik Matyka?” Bringing real stars from Broadway New York to tell a story of life and death. “In a new and exciting way, we will show DMEXCO visitors how online search will change the future” Howard Lerman.
Of course, there is also always the legendary party which takes place in the Rheinterrassen.
The Digital Marketing trends to watch out for at DMEXCO 19:
AI is by far the biggest trend of 2019; automation is now everywhere and advancing extremely quickly. Successful companies are using technology to automate their response to consumers at every point of the consumer journey using tools such as chatbots. Expect conversations to include AI’s ability to put the customer at the centre of the brand experience.
Expect to hear valuable lessons on how leaders are getting personalisation right. The focus will be how to use data more effectively and how new data types can be used to create memorable, personalised consumer experiences.
Yes that’s right were still talking about it 18 months later, it’s the elephant in the room with focuses on what we have learnt. There is still a large amount of digital marketing space that is uncertain about GDPR and what it means for their business. Getting the balance between privacy and relevant, personal marketing is a challenge. Watch out for talks on the best practices for companies to make the most out of the legislation.
